Born on September 25, 1941, to Willie Frank Theus, Sr. and Eunice Lewis Theus at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville and graduated in1959 from the Technical High School. Bill also served briefly in the United States Air Force.
Bill was a former Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO) at the City of Jacksonville and previously owned and worked for multiple printing companies including Sav-a-Stop in his early years. Having a passion for baseball, he coached his sons (Michael, Chris, Brian) and daughter (Lori) at the Lakeshore Athletic Association for 14 years. After he retired, he resumed his passion being around the sport and umpired for local middle and high schools for both baseball and softball for several years until he was forced to give it up due to his health.
Bill is preceded in death by his two wives including Bobbye Jeanne (Jean) Theus, for whom he was married 40 years and Hope Oldi-Kelly Theus, for whom he was married 15 years. Both of his parents have also passed.
Bill is survived by his five children, sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

· Lori Dickerson (Kenny) – granddaughter: Danlyne (Jarrod) – great granddaughter: Adriann Westkerr; granddaughter Christa (Devin) – great grandchildren: Jordan Russell, Jayce and Jaxon Williams; grandson: Daniel – great grandchildren: Ahlia Stewart, Kaleb and Karter Dickerson
· Brian Theus (Louanne) – granddaughter: Skyler Vise (Luke) – great grandchildren: Zula and Gideon; grandsons: Alan and Brandon
Bill is also survived by his sister-in-law Ruth Hammock and her children: James (Pam), Cheryl Hurley and Charles Hammock. He had numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who he remained in communications with as well as periodic phone calls with Hope's daughters, Donna and Eileen and their daughters.
He had two pups, Sammy Oldi Theus and Roxanne Dickerson, who anxiously awaited his return every time he left for an appointment or to run errands. He especially loved to take Sammy for rides in the car to get his favorite vanilla nut coffee in the morning.
The “get togethers” for supper or just Sunday afternoon meals, vacations in the mountains, taking his family to the “drive in” movies to see the latest (with a bucket of Beach Road Chicken), last minute trips to Disney World, Six Flags over Georgia or vacations to Crooked River State Park, the Land of Oz and Stone Mountain are just a few fond memories shared with his family. He also loved to fish and really took an interest in sharing the fun with his kids and grandkids while taking reoccurring vacations to Cherokee, South Carolina and visiting trout farms.
Bill was a huge University of Florida Gators, New York Yankees, and Jacksonville Jaguar fan. He also loved watching WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), Family Feud and Jeopardy (especially when Ken Jennings was on his winning streak).
