The funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday September 17, 2017 at Chapel Hills Memorial Gardens. Elder David Crawford of Macclenny Primitive Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Chapel Hills Memorial Garden. There will be no visitation prior to the funeral.
Wilma was born in Speedwell, TN on December 24, 1940. She graduated from Powell Valley High School and worked in a shirt factory after high school.
Wilma was married to James Butler Sword on November 25, 1960. They were married for 39 years prior to James death in June of 1999.
Wilma worked as a sales associate for Added Dimensions for 10 + years and was named top salesperson in the company. She enjoyed helping others and never met a stranger. She was also actively involved in Antioch Primitive Baptist Church as church clerk for over 30 years. She enjoyed the fellowship of all brethren and sisters in Christ.
Wilma is survived by daughter Sherry Reilly, spouse Scott L. Reilly and grandson Spencer L. Reilly, daughter Sharon Overstreet, spouse Gary L. Overstreet and granddaughter Heather L. Overstreet, sister Leota Hope Sword, Step daughter Mollie Ward, spouse David Ward and grandson Chris B. Sword. She also had 2 great granddaughters Skylar and Emily Sword.
Wilma is preceded in death by her husband, James B. Sword, her mother Celia Maddox Marcum, her father Edgar Maddox and brother in law Billy A. Sword.
