Winfred L. Greer

Winfred L. Greer, age 86, passed away December 30, 2018 in Orange Park, Florida. Winfred was born on January 20, 1932 in Georgia to Weaver and Thelma Greer. Winfred was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He had many passions throughout life; Winfred enjoyed fishing, oysters, and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. Winfred will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Winfred is preceded in death by his parents, Weaver and Thelma Greer; one brother Jimmy Greer; and one sister Jo Wilkins. He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 64 years, Shirley Greer; two sons Dale Greer (Brenda) and Perry Greer (Cindy); grandchildren Forrest Greer (Stephanie), Karly Beatty (Kyle), Anna Clouse (A.J.), and Marla Greer; great-grandchildren Hope Greer, Zachary Clouse, and Mason Clouse; one brother Larry Greer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
