Betty Louise Cogar

She was born on September 23, 1928 in Herminie, PA to the late Henry Mansfield, Sr. and Martha Mansfield. She was a 1946 graduate of Sewickley High School. On December 3, 1948, she married Robert P. Cogar; he preceded her in death on January 30, 2008. She was retired from her work as a nurse aide at Westmoreland Hospital. She was a member of The First Christian Church of Carmichaels and the Jefferson Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Fields (Omer); grandson, Zachary Fields; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Henry Mansfield, Jr., Robert Mansfield, and Donald Mansfield. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Wednesday, June 24 from 2-4 PM and 5-7 PM at Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 25 at 11 AM; a private interment will be held at Union Cemetery in Irwin, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Betty's memory to the building fund of The First Christian Church of Carmichaels.
