He was born on January 6, 1948 to Bruce E. Black Sr. and Dora M. Black Vassallo in Waynesburg, PA. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the UMWB and worked in Cumberland Mine. In addition, he was a member of the Carmichaels VFW 3491. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working on the farm.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Russell-Black; children, Dolores Pritchard, Shane Black, and Charlotte Friend; siblings, Skip Black, Tom West Sr., Jim West, Dana West, and Pam Wozny; and eight grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brucie Black; and brother, Barry Black.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Tuesday, October 27 from 12 PM to 5 PM, with military honors at 5 PM, at Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344.
