She was born December 19, 1944 in Monongah, WV, a daughter of the late Wilford G. and Edith “Pauline” Petrucci Watkins.
Donna was a registered nurse with a BSN and had worked at the former Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg.
She was very active in her community as a former Judge of Elections in Jefferson Township #1, a long time Jefferson-Morgan School Board member and Career Technical Center board member and past president, PTO member and past president, band booster’s former member and past president, Emergency Management Agency member and officer, Girl Scout leader and the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company.
On August 24, 1964 she married, Leon A. Brown, who died November 12, 1979.
Surviving are four children, Shelly L. Brown (Dan Elkins) of Hanover, Catrina L. (Richard) Kubasik of Jefferson, James L. (Marilyn) Brown of Dallas, GA, Charles A. Brown (Jonna Knapik) of Clarksville; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; a brother, James D. “Sonny” Watkins of Proctor, WV.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 2 to 6 pm, in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor. A Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company Service will be held in the funeral home at 5:45 pm on Wednesday.
