Loretta Elizabeth Yorko

She was born on June 20, 1937 in Cumberland Township, PA to George Zubal and Anna Hudock Zubal. On May 27, 1961, she married George Raymond Yorko - he referred to her as "Lovely"; Ray preceded her in death on April 13, 2001. Loretta was a Mother, Grandmother, and soon-to-be Great-Grandmother. She spent many years working in the shirt factory as an inspector. She was a member of The First Christian Church of Carmichaels. She enjoyed her frequent trips to The Meadows with her sister, Madeline. She was an enthusiastic Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates sports fan; however, at times Loretta was known to be a fair-weather fan. She enjoyed watching Dancing With The Stars and she loved her grand-puppies. Friends and family have expressed one of the things they will miss is Loretta's beautiful smile.

She is survived by her children, Raylene Ferlin (Ron) of Uniontown, PA, Margaret Denny of Glen Dale, WV, and Karolee Lombardi (Paul) of Bonita Springs, FL; six grandchildren, Ron Ferlin (Marcie) of Uniontown, PA, Megan Denny of Columbus, OH, Katlin Denny (Joel Pekar) of Carmichaels, PA, Kevin Denny (Emily Williams) of Coraopolis, PA, Mario Lombardi of Naples, FL, and Maria Lombardi of Raleigh, NC; sister, Madeline Morelli of Leesburg, VA; son-in-law, Thom Denny of Carmichaels, PA; and soon-to-arrive great-granddaughter, Carrigan Pekar.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Emil Zubal, George Zubal Jr., Dolores Allison, and Rita Holmes.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25 at 11:30 AM at The First Christian Church of Carmichaels, 235 S. Market St., Carmichaels, PA 15320; burial to follow at Greene County Memorial Park in Waynesburg.
