He was born October 5, 1946 in Clarksville, a son of the late Thomas F. and Ruby Harris Sellers.
Tom was a 1966 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War.
He was a Federal Mine Inspector for the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).
Tom was a member of the Kittanning Church of Christ, the Disabled American Veterans and Pine Creek Sportsman Club.
On April 16, 1972 he married Ruth Sowden, who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Thomas (Cassandra) Sellers Jr. of Kittanning; four, grandchildren, Seth Lueninghoener of Norman, OK, Catherine Sellers of Lakeworth, FL, Caroline Sellers of Kittanning, Jacob Sellers of Kittanning; two great grandchildren, Maya Lueninghoener and Sai Lueninghoener; a brother, Donald Sellers of Clarksville; a sister-in-law, Mary Nyswaner of Houghton, LA; nieces, Cindy Redman of Greensburg, Lisa Sowden of Jefferson, Shery Champagne of Hartford, CT, Rachel Nyswaner of Hartford, CT; nephews, Robert Redman of Clarksville, Robert Nyswaner of Houghton, CT, Dwight Sellers of Clarksville, Michael Sellers of Clarksville, and Jonathan Sellers of Poland Mines.
Deceased is a sister, Eleanor (Hope) Redman.
In following the guidelines of wearing masks friends will be received on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Evangelist Larry Krause, officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the United States Air Force and the Greene County Honor Guard. Immediately following the services a luncheon will be held at the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company.
