She was born in Pontiac on March 27, 1925. Arlene graduated Roosevelt High School and married John Frederick Murphy on September 21, 1946. Arlene was a member of Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church. She had a passion for bowling, golf, and especially basketball. Arlene loved watching the Pistons and Tigers.
She is survived by her children Mike Murphy, Joe (Marriane) Murphy, John (Sue) Murphy, and Mary (Gary Burnett) Mansfield; grandchildren Kelly, Dean, Ann, Joe, Jenny, Lori, Matt, Shannon, Sean, Tara; caretaker and friend Judy Worden. Arlene was predeceased by her husband John Murphy and daughter-in-law Kathy Murphy.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday January 26, 2017 from 1-4pm with a service at 4pm at Pixley Funeral Home, 2904 Orchard Lake Rd, Keego Harbor.
