

Augustine will be missed and remembered dearly by his wife, Martina Ortez of 60 years; siblings, Trinidad Guerrero, Johnny (Rebecca) Ortez, Delores (Ron) Whitt; and many nephews, nieces, and friends. Augustine was preceded in passing by his parents, John and Faustina Ortez; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Maria Ortez, and Rudy and Carmen Ortez; and brothers-in-law, Raul Hernandez and Tony Guerrero
Augustine was a world traveler with a kind and generous heart. He and his wife shared the remarkable gift of giving to others, touching countless lives through their generosity. Augustine was a devoted and loving husband, dedicating himself to his family and his passions. His career included service with the California Highway System, and a distinguished 30-year tenure in the United States Marine Corps. During his military service in Vietnam, he was wounded in combat and was honored with the Purple Heart for his bravery and sacrifice.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at Family Funeral Care, 2904 Orchard Lake Road, Keego Harbor. Burial will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 2:00pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly.
