

Bruce William Tozer, age 82, of Green Lake, West Bloomfield, died in the early morning hours of January 17. He was married one month shy of 50 years to his wife Sylvia. He is also survived by his son Chad of Belleville, MI and his daughter Carolyn (Tony) Marek of Orchard Lake, MI, grandchildren Anthony and Anna Marek, sisters Lynn Hammond Bowles of Indianapolis and Jill Greimel of Oakland Township, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Christopher.
Bruce was born April 17, 1933, in Detroit to Melania and Albert Tozer. He graduated from Redford High School in 1950, attended The University of Michigan, served in the U.S. Army as an MP, and received his degree in accounting from Wayne State University.
Over the years, he worked at Tungsten Carbide Tool Co., Michigan Consolidated Gas Co., and finally at Vlasic Foods/Campbell Soup as a cost analyst.
He enjoyed fishing in Michigan lakes and rivers, playing bridge, playing golf, reading about military history, watching old movies and sports, particularly hockey and baseball, on TV, and taking long walks with his dog Smokey.
Charitable donations in Bruce's name may be made to The Salvation Army or The Michigan Humane Society.
