Cathy Ann Ernst, age 68, of Waterford, passed away April 27, 2025. Born in Pontiac, on July 28, 1956, Cathy was the beloved daughter of the late Stephan and Patricia (née Doyle) Ernst. She was raised in Waterford, where she was a proud part of the Ernst Greenhouse family.
Cathy spent many years working at the Palace of Auburn Hills, where she built lasting friendships and memories. She had a deep appreciation for Michigan’s natural beauty, especially the vibrant colors of fall in the northern part of the state. A visit up north often included a stop in Frankenmuth for a bit of shopping and exploring.
A lifelong music lover, Cathy enjoyed attending concerts and shared a special bond with her father through their occasional casino trips. On sunny days, she found joy in simply sitting outside, soaking in the warmth, and spending time with her beloved cat, Max.
Beloved sister of Stephanie Hoskins, Jeff (Rhonda) Ernst, Steve (Amy) Ernst, and the late Eric (Diane) Ernst. Treasured aunt of Erica (Jeremy) Smith, Ryan (Tiaja) Ernst, and Jake (Jenn) Ernst. Proud great-aunt of 2 great-nieces. Dear lifelong best friend of Terry Johnson.
