Christopher James Snyder

Chris was born on December 7, 1949, in Hazel Park, Michigan, and was raised by Christopher and Shirley Snyder. Chris attended Waterford Township High School and then enlisted in the United States Army to serve his country in Vietnam.

Chris was known around Pontiac as "Chris the Ice Cream Man", you could always tell if he was driving the Good Humor truck based on the ringing bells. Chris loved his family, he especially loved being a father and grandfather. He always had a joke at the ready, and loved to listen to rock and roll music. He was truly loved by everyone who met him, and will be deeply missed.

Chris is survived by his children: Christina Snyder, and Mathew (Joleen) Snyder, grandchild Christopher Snyder, step children: Matthew and Kayla Johnson, his siblings: Eddie and Linda, his half brother Roger, and his former wife and friend Janet Johnson.

Christopher will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery, on Thursday May 29, with a committal service beginning at 1:30 PM.
