David Joseph Molloy

David Joseph Molloy, age 64, of Waterford, Michigan passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023. David was born in New Haven, CT. He attended Michigan State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. David took a position as an Electrical Contractor and Purchaser for Smith Brothers Electrical.

David was the beloved brother of Chris and Maryanne and was also Maryanne’s twin. He was the proud Uncle of two nieces Chelsea and Darby. David had many passions and hobby’s surrounding the sports world. He was a lifelong Detroit sports fan going to many Lions, Tigers and Wings games. For many years he had the same foursome of friends and he would attend both Michigan and Michigan State football games.

His greatest passion was Golf. David grew up Caddying at Pine Lake Country Club in Bloomfield Hills. It was there that he acquired his skills to become a strong single digit handicap through the many hours of lessons that he received from the kindness of Head Pro Elmer Prieskorn. He played in numerous leagues and outings and created many strong friendships through golf that lasted his lifetime. David and Chris went to Scotland in 2015 and played at the birth place of golf in St Andrews. He was unquestionably the best golfer in the Family!

He was a kind and gentle soul and joins his Mother Trudy and Father John in Heaven. There will be a Celebration of life for family and friends at his favorite restaurant Gino’s on Saturday, April 29th 2023 from Noon to 2 pm.
