Diana spent over two decades working in downtown Detroit. She began her career at Comerica headquarters, where she worked for five years (1980-1985), followed by a long tenure of eighteen years at the law firm of Pepper, Hamilton & Scheetz (1985-2003) as a word processing operator.
She raised her children in Clawson, Michigan, but for 40 years, Charlevoix, Michigan, held a special place in her heart. She loved spending time there and eventually retired there. She served on the City of Charlevoix Planning Commission from 2004 to 2008.
Diana enjoyed socializing with her friends, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.
Diana is remembered by her children: Anthony Gully (Sue); Michelle McCormick (William); Gina Bidinger (David); and Andrea Ash-Stinson (Carey).
She was a proud grandmother to Autumn Cook (Preston), Austin Bidinger, Nathan McCormick, Ava Ash, and Aiden Ash as well as two great-grandchildren, Liliana Ertz and Ryan Cook.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Vilma and Ralph Ricketts; her husband, Regis A. Gully; her sister, Adrienne Thomas; brother-in-law, Herb Thomas; and son-in-law, Ally Ash.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Charlevoix Public Library in Diana's memory.
Service details are pending and will be announced at a later date.
