Eugene Loren Sawyer

Eugene Loren Sawyer, age 88, of Waterford, was born December 27, 1936 and passed away September 15, 2025. Beloved husband of Terry Kimler. Loving father of Tom (Colleen) Sawyer and the late Timothy Sawyer, and stepfather of Laura Levis, Ron Kimler, and Matthew Kimler. Proud grandfather of Jonathon (Megan) Sawyer, Kathleen (Ryan) Ranguette, and Elizabeth (Aaron) Lavinsky; great-grandfather of Olivia, Ozzy, and Lillian; step-grandfather of 8; and step-great-grandfather of 1.

Eugene was a truly great man, known not only for his strength of character but also for his humor that could brighten even the heaviest of days. He had a gift for making people laugh and feel at ease, and his presence was a comfort to all who knew him. Most of all, Eugene loved Terry with an unwavering, unconditional love. Their bond was one of joy, devotion, and partnership, and he filled her life with a happiness that will never be forgotten. Eugene’s love and laughter will live on in our hearts, a reminder of the remarkable man he was.

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 26, 2025 at 2:00pm at Terry's House, 8720 Cooley Beach Drive, White Lake.
