It was 58 yrs ago when i met my best friend Laura. With this relationship i had come to adore her Mamo,Pappo and Jan . So many memories at their house on Couzens st. Pappo was a big Indian stern looking guy. I was intimated by him, until i got to know him. He was a teady bear with few words. Mamo was this little 4'9 little gray hair lady with a southern accent and just as sweet as can be. When i stayed the night with Laura, she would ask me in the morning. Denise what do you want for breakfast? Well she knew what i would say, Biscuits and gravy i would say. She was a great southern cook.Loved her to pieces.. Jan would walk in from work, what a beautiful women she was, stunning all put together matching shoes hand bag and hair was not out of place. Beautiful women! I think one of my memories was when Laura wanted to use the cougar. We had to go get her some chocolate before we could. LOL this drove Laura nuts, we just wanted to go cruise Woodward. Through out the years we did keep in touch. Especially our shopping trips to Hudsons and scope out the 80% racks. She taught me the ropes on shopping. So many memories with this Lady. A final chapter for Jan, I know you will make things right in the here after. RIP

I met Jan Fisher a lifetime ago. She was a remarkable woman. She was strong, intelligent, and there was literally nothing she couldn't do. She could cut and color my hair and take in a dress so that I looked amazing for my senior prom. She was a military vet, and a hard working independent woman. She was an inspiration for me.
