

He was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 10, 1929. Doc graduated from Henry Ford Trade School, and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from University of Detroit.
He was married to Helen Therese Doucet on November 18, 1961.
Doc was a dentist, initially for the City of Detroit, and then in private practice in Fraser.
He earned a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry, was a former president of the Macomb Dental Society, in the US Naval Reserves, member of the Knights of Columbus, and was associated with the Boy Scouts for 63 years.
He also enjoyed family get-togethers, his grandchildren, German language, working on his computer, tinkering in his garage, and the occasional beer.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; children Howard E. Scheer (Martha Johnson), Patricia A. Hagel, Kathleen M. Fast (Scott), and Mary E. (Arens) Ennis (Bradley); grandchildren Kyle J. Hagel, Kayla R. Gramer (Joshua), Samantha M. Arens-Ennis, Joshua S. Fast, Lauren E. Arens-Ennis, and Brady E. Ennis; and siblings Paul Scheer, Mildred Lachajewski (John), Edward Scheer (Hsiah), Elaine Jones, and Donald Scheer (Rhonda). He was pre-deceased by siblings Rita Baranski, Frank Baranski, Marilyn (Glowacke) Scheer, and Joseph Jones, and son-in law Michael Arens.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 1-8 PM, with a Rosary Service at 7 PM, at Family Funeral Care, 2904 Orchard Lake Rd, Keego Harbor, MI. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 11 AM, In State at 10:30 AM, at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, 3700 Commerce Rd, Orchard Lake, MI. Interment at All Saints Cemetery to follow mass.
