I can remember your voice as I type the words Jimmy, very solemn moment for sure. I enjoyed the times spent in the office, and out, with you on many an occasion. Our code words, "chicken strips", will always bring a smile to my face. Rest peacefully Jimmy and thank you for always sticking to being who you were. My condolences to your family and countless friends as well.

Uncle Jimmy wasn’t just my uncle—he was my godfather, someone who had a special place in my heart from the very beginning.

Some of my favorite childhood memories are spending time up north with him, fishing, riding on the boat, and spending days at the beach with him and our family. Those are memories I’ll cherish forever. I’ll also never forget all the laughter at Thanksgiving, especially listening to Alice’s Restaurant. It became a family tradition, and every time I hear it, I’ll smile thinking about those moments we shared.

As I got older, I had the privilege of getting to know him on a much deeper level. Life brought him challenges that many people never truly understood, but through it all, I never lost sight of the caring, funny, and loving man I was blessed to call my uncle and godfather. He was there for me during some of my own most challenging times, offering support, encouragement, and simply being someone I could count on. I’ll always be grateful for that.

One of the songs that will forever remind me of him is Beautiful Boy by John Lennon. I don’t remember him playing it when I was a baby, but I grew up hearing the story and listening to it over the years. One of my last memories with him was visiting him on Father’s Day this year. I could tell he was carrying a lot, but even then, we sat together, listened to Beautiful Boy, and simply enjoyed being together. I’ll never forget that moment. Every time I hear that song, I’ll think of him.

Uncle Jimmy, thank you for the memories, the laughs, the fishing trips, the boat rides, the family traditions, and most of all, your love. Thank you for being there for me through life’s challenges and for being the godfather anyone would be lucky to have.

I’ll miss you more than words can say, but I’ll carry your memory with me for the rest of my life.

I didn’t get to know Uncle Jimmy as well later in life which makes me sad  but some of my favorite childhood memories will always be with him. When my little brother Jimmy n I would ride up north with him he somehow made every trip feel like an adventure. We’d play the roadkill game laugh the whole way there and he’d make up funny “Indian names” for us whenever we’d pass different signs along the road. Jimmy my lil brother used to call the IGA store “Igga,” and Uncle Jimmy would crack up every time. He was the cool uncle. He’d have the music turned up drive a little fast (which we thought was the coolest thing ever) and somehow make us feel like we were on the greatest road trip in the world. Looking back I realize it wasn’t really about the destination it was the way he made ordinary moments so much fun. Those are the memories I’ll always hold onto. Thank u  Uncle Jimmy 4 giving us a childhood full of laughter and adventures I’ll never forget. Rest easy. ❤️ love Jessica
