Joseph Edgar Hughes

JOSEPH E. HUGHES, age 64, of Keego Harbor, died Sunday, June 27, 2021. Joseph was born on June 14, 1957, in Pontiac, son of the late William and Mary (Cashman) Hughes. He is the loving brother of Carol (John) McCurry, William ‘Chris’ Hughes, John (Terri) Hughes, Theresa (Leigh) Dushane, Anthony Hughes, Jacquelyn Hughes the late Candy Michael Hughes and the late Patricia Martinez. Also survived by his longtime special friend, Gail Jones, several nieces and nephews including special nephew Jason Hughes and many lifelong friends. Joe graduated from West Bloomfield High School and retired from General Motors in 2007. An avid outdoorsman, Joe loved to hunt and fish. He will be greatly missed by many. There will be a memorial gathering and sharing service on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, 2904 Orchard Lake Road, Keego Harbor. A graveside service will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joe’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
