Josephine M. Ondik, 86, of Sylvan Lake, Michigan, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 5, 1933. She was a proud member of the Pontiac Optimist Club and The Pontiac Sun Time Bank. She was a devoted Catholic and parishioner of Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in Orchard Lake. Josephine loved sewing, crossword puzzles, knitting and crocheting. She was known for her prize winning chili, her various involvements in volunteer work across metro Detroit, and her absolute love of the Detroit Tigers.
She joins her sisters and brothers and her son Thomas in perpetuity. She was survived by her brother; Leonard, daughters; Donna Tarnas (Paul), Lisa Takarich (Zoltan), Victoria Wolack (Michael), 11 grandchildren; Alexander, Sean, Cameron, Chelsea, Max, Noah, Henry, Olivia, Emma, Isabella, Ava and 1 great granddaughter, Charlotte. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 10:00AM, at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, with visitation beginning at 9:00AM.
