

Lawrence "Larry" Daniel Belknap, age 65, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his sister's home in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Though he spent his final days in West Bloomfield, Larry lived most of his life in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. He was born on May 8, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, to parents Clinton and Audrey Belknap.
Larry loved many of the arts; an accomplished recording musician, even building his own recording studio (where he completed countless original songs and two complete albums), an avid landscape/scenery painter, miniature wood model builder, carpenter, singer/songwriter, and guitarist/pianist. He even spent some time in theater. He had a Technical Degree in CAD and graduated at the top of his class. He had a strong love for the outdoors; specifically camping, canoeing/boating, and sitting around a campfire picking his guitar. He had a knack for telling jokes with an infectious laugh and quick-witted humor. His is creativity expanded into making up several types of games for his family. His talents and humor seemed endless to those close to him.
He is survived by the mother of his daughter, Deborah Belknap; daughter, Natalie (Josh) King, and grandsons and granddaughter, Joshua, Asher, Skyler and lylah King; siblings, Nancy (Richard) Parker, Gregory Belknap, and Shari (Scott) Slaith. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Audrey Belknap; grandparents, Edward and Grace Belknap, and Floyd and Pearl Linebaugh; brothers, David Belknap, Dennis Belknap, and Douglas Belknap.
