Lois Carol Smith

Lois Carol Smith, age 87, of Waterford, was born July 11, 1939, and passed away peacefully July 13, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Frank William Smith. Loving mother of Margaret (Stephen) McCarthy and Yvonne Johnson. Cherished grandmother of Maria, Michael (Sara), and Meghan McCarthy. Lois will be missed by numerous other family members and friends. Lois was preceded in passing by her parents, Jerry and Eunice Miller; and her siblings, Eloise York, Emogene Head, Inafaye Poole, Homer Wendell Miller, and Forrest Miller.

Lois’s family was the greatest joy of her life. She loved them deeply and wholeheartedly, and nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with those she cherished. She had the kindest heart, was incredibly generous, and accepted everyone without judgment. Her beautiful smile could brighten any room. Lois enjoyed word searches, puzzles, traveling with her siblings, and listening to country music. She will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and the unconditional love she shared with everyone around her.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 17, 2026 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 10:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00am at Family Funeral Care, 2904 Orchard Lake Road, Keego Harbor. Burial at Christian Memorial Gardens West, Rochester Hills.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Lois's memory.
