Please accept my condolences on your loss. Mrs. Treuter was special to me in so many ways - during my time at Roosevelt Elementary, as well as welcoming me and my sister, Kim, into her home on our way home from school. 
She'll always hold a special place in my heart. May you find peace and comfort in your memories.

Hundreds if not thousands of children at Roosevelt Elementary School have benefited from Marilyn's kindness during her 28 years of volunteer service to the school.  She worked in classrooms, read to students, assisted in the kitchen, helped in the media center, worked in the office, used her own funds to help students and in general made life better for the whole school community.  Her long-time work with the Optimist Club of Keego Harbor had the same goal as her volunteer work at the school...enriching the lives of children.  She will be greatly missed.  May God continue to bless Marilyn and her family.

One year our power went out for 3 days, Marilyn was kind enough to share her home with my family. She always had a special place in my heart because of that and will remain there. We were sorry to hear of her passing.

Marilyn received countless awards for her volunteer service to Roosevelt Elementary School. We always thought of her as a staff member. She was loved by every staff member and by every child. Our community will always cherish her loving devotion.

Marilyn will always be remembered for being so kind and loving to all her children at Roosevelt Elementary School. They all loved her. Marilyn will be missed very much.

Marilyn work for me the last two years labeling all my photography work.  She always did accurate work in a timely fashion. I was always thank full when sharing my day with her telling me not to go in that direction to avoid a bad experience or heart ship. She always gave me good advice. Attached is a picture in May 2008 of her winning a lifetime volunteer award for the over 20yrs of service at Roosevelt Elementary.

Marilyn and I road home together after work for more than 20 years.  It was a short ride but one filled with wonderful conversation. Marilyn was a good listener,kind,warm and motherly. We always laughed and called ourselves "Marilyn Squared".  I'll never forget her. With love,Marilyn Law
