Mary Pat Aiken

Dear mother to Cathy (James) Summers, Andi McGhee, Gail (Jack) Goddard, Jeff (Connie) Aiken, and Jane (Jeff) Hyman; Cherished Grandmother to fifteen Grandchildren; loved by many Great-grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews; Caring sister to Beth Bellanger. Mary was predeceased by her husband Richard, son-in-law Douglas McGhee, sister Joanie Larson, and grand-daughter Candy Deo. Born the daughter of Jules and Mildred Allard on March 8, 1926 in Redford Michigan, Mary graduated from Pontiac High School and Married Richard C. Aiken on August 28th, 1948 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Mary was a homemaker, taking care of her husband and their five children in Waterford. She was talented at sewing, making clothes for her children and their dolls. She also enjoyed playing the organ and assembling puzzles. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church.

The family will receive guests for a visitation on Tuesday April 18th from 3-8pm with Rosary at 7pm at Pixley Funeral Home, 2904 Orchard Lake Rd., Keego Harbor. Instate Wednesday 9:30am until the time of Mass at 10:00am at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, 3700 Commerce Rd, Orchard Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s name to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
