Mary Laverle Hoskins

Mary Laverle Hoskins, age 73, of Pontiac, was born March 22, 1952 and passed away June 14, 2025 at home. Beloved wife of Walter Hoskins for 53 years. Loving mother of Eric (Jody) Hoskins, Jeffery (Lindsay) Hoskins, Amanda (Danny) Madar, and stepmother of Malinda (the late David) Stanford and Sara (Rick) Brim. Proud grandmother and great-grandmother to many. Dear sister of Theodore (the late Linda) Jordan, Calvin (Laurie) Jordan, the late Jim (Connie) Jordan, the late Doug (Bonnie) Jordan, the late Wayne Jordan, and very special sister and best friend of Jean (Todd) Jones. Mary was preceded in passing by her parents, Arnold and Eunice Jordan.

Mary loved her family above all else, cherishing every moment spent with them. Some of her fondest memories were of gathering loved ones around a table filled with meals she lovingly prepared—each dish a reflection of her generous spirit. Her love was a constant presence in the lives of her children and grandchildren, always shared freely and unconditionally. Her laughter was contagious, her joyful spirit lighting up every room. She had a rare gift for bringing people together, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
