Born on May 21, 1969, to Lynne Carol Drouillard and the late Richard Charles Drouillard, Chris lived a life defined by resilience, positivity, unwavering love, and a deep devotion to his family. Chris was a proud graduate of Berkley High School and earned his degree in Logistics and Distribution from Wayne State University. He enjoyed a brief career as a systems engineer at EDS, where his sharp mind and steady dedication were widely respected. On September 19, 1994, Chris married the love of his life, Andrea. Together, they built a life full of laughter, strength, and unbreakable love, celebrating 30 beautiful years of marriage. Chris became a father 25 years ago when his daughter Cali was born—his pride and joy—and later, a grandfather to Anastassia, who became his greatest gift and brightest light. Over the past year and a half, Stassi brought indescribable happiness into Chris’s life. His bond with her was deep and pure, and she filled his days with renewed joy and purpose. Though he wished he could watch her grow up, his legacy will live on through her. Chris faced life’s challenges with remarkable grace and strength—from his teenage years through a decades-long journey with cancer, multiple sclerosis, and paralysis. For 25 years, he defied the odds and lived a full life grounded in love, humor, and connection. Through it all, he remained an extraordinary husband, devoted father, adoring grandfather, loyal friend, and a beacon of quiet resilience.
Chris is survived by his beloved wife Andrea; his daughter Cali; his granddaughter Anastassia; his cherished son-in-law and best friend Marcus; his sister Colette; his brother Colby; and his loving mother Lynne. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard. A lover of Lake Michigan sunsets, Detroit Tigers and Lions games, and meaningful conversation, Chris’s presence brought warmth and comfort to all who knew him. For many years, he enjoyed the connection and fellowship of the community at St. Paul's United Methodist church in Bloomfield Hills. Chris will be deeply missed and remembered forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family is honoring Chris’s wish by creating an education fund for his granddaughter Stassi. Contributions to this fund are a lasting tribute to the legacy of love and hope he leaves behind. https://gofund.me/a9e43a0f
