Richard Mitchell Rupert, age 68, of Holly, passed away on October 23, 2025, in Troy. He was born in Detroit on August 7, 1957, to Robert and Jenny (Tratar) Rupert. Richard is survived by his son, Richard Michael Rupert; his siblings, Jeannette Roberta Ratcliffe, and Dale J. (Donna) Rupert; and his nephew, Robert Rorke. Richard was preceded in passing by his parents and his brother, William Robert "Roby" Rupert.
Richard worked for General Motors for 49 years, where he was deeply dedicated to his job and valued the many friendships he made over the years. Outside of work, Richard loved playing golf, often with friends from work, and especially enjoyed taking his son Richard along when he was young. He was also a lifelong fan of the Detroit Lions. Richard will be remembered for his hard work and the love he had for his family and friends.
