Robert Arthur Pesta

Robert Arthur Pesta, age 91, of Waterford, was born March 11, 1935 and passed away April 30, 2026. Beloved husband of Mary Annette "Toni" Pesta. Loving father of Kim Scattergood, Karen (Paul) Miller, and Krys Pesta. Cherished grandfather of Justin Hughes, Evan (Donna) Kemp, and Katy (Rob Wright) Scattergood. Treasured great-grandfather of Madison Kemp, Luca Hughes, Reagan Kemp, Kennedy Kemp, and McKinley Kemp. Proud uncle of many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in passing by his parents, Stanley and Genevieve Pesta; his siblings, Walter, Stanley, and Cynthia; and his beautiful daughter, Krys Pesta.

Robert had a passion for life that was evident from his younger years, when he enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors. He loved lake life, snowmobiling in the winter and boating, water skiing, sailing, and riding motorcycles in the warmer months. A dedicated and hardworking man, Robert retired at the age of 58, a milestone he was proud to achieve.

In retirement, Robert embraced the Florida lifestyle, especially his time at the beach. He was an active member of his community, serving as president of his shuffleboard club, and he also enjoyed spending time at the casino. He was a devoted supporter of his Detroit sports teams, always cheering them on. Some of his happiest moments were spent surrounded by family, gathering with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

Robert was a teacher in the truest sense, always willing to share his knowledge, offer guidance, and pass along life skills to those he loved. He was the heart of his family and will be remembered as the love of their lives.
