SAMUEL LUKE ABEJEAN, age 21, of West Bloomfield, passed away May 10, 2020. Samuel was born on October 18, 1998 in Pontiac, son of Roger and Jennifer (Sese) Abejean. He is survived by his parents; sister Sophie Abejean; grandmothers Lenora Sese and Jannette Abejean; aunts and uncles Charlotte (James) Hevey, Philippe (Brittany) Abejean, Arnold (Jeanette) Sese, Sarah Sese, and Arthur Jr. (Marilyn) Sese. He is also survived by his cousins Emily Sese, Jonas Sese, Emily Imbrunone Sese, Madeline Sese, Elias Bishar, Charlie Bishar, Micah Sese, Norah Sese, Arturo Sese, Angela Sese, Malachi Sese, Remy and Chloe Hevey, Brody and Zachary Abejean. Samuel was preceded in death by his grandfathers Arthur Sese and Pierre Abejean. He graduated from West Bloomfield High School and was currently completing his senior year at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University in Grand Rapids. Samuel had recently completed his student teaching program and was preparing to embark upon a career as a teacher. His humble, caring and compassionate demeanor was known not only to his family but extended to all who knew him. These characteristics led him to become a teacher who impacted the lives of everyone around him, especially among those who were underprivileged. A true artist, Samuel was an amazing painter and drawer, and loved to explore nature. He had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed zip-lining and boating. Samuel was also a much beloved counselor at Camp Manitoulin. Samuel will be greatly missed by all.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 15, 2020, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, 2904 Orchard Lake Road in Keego Harbor. A private family funeral will be held at Lakes Bible Church.
