Yvonne Joan Hill (Craig), of Clarkston, formerly of Melvindale, passed away Saturday November 21, 2020. Joan was born the daughter of Thomas and Jereda (Vaughn) Craig in Detroit, Michigan on June 16, 1939. She graduated from Henry Ford High School in Dearborn, class of 1957 and attended Henry Ford Community College. Joan began a long career at Ford Motor Company as a dedicated secretary from which she retired. She was happily married to Robert Hill in 1981 in Dearborn, Michigan until his passing in 2005. She was quite the artist, who favored pen & ink. She was a published writer, story teller, and the family historian. She was always fond of her youth filled days traveling around the world to ski and learn Judo. She loved animals, especially her many cats. Joan was a kind and generous soul, and a woman of strong Faith in God. Everyone that met her would know that she loved the Lord and she would share His word. She is survived by her step-children Ron (Teri) Hill, Alana Davis, Shauna (Dan) Banks, Stephanie Martinez, and Vanessa (Jason) Anderson; nieces Alice Bettinger and Cynthia (James) D’Amore; nephew Tom (Susan) Craig; great-nieces Noel, Laurine and Katie; and great-nephews Reuben and Kevin. She was predeceased by her husband; parents; brother; and step-daughter Michelle Rich. A memorial service to be planned at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Tennessee next to her husband.
