During his 20+ years living in Kelowna, Edmond—fondly known as Eddy—developed a deep love for the Okanagan Valley and its community.
He worked in long-term care during his early years in Kelowna and later at the Kelowna General Hospital until his retirement—a place he affectionately called his second home.
Eddy was a natural giver, always ready to help anyone in need. He had a kind heart, a listening ear, and never hesitated to offer advice and support. He was gifted with the rare ability to bring joy into people’s lives and to brighten any room he entered.
Known as the life of the party, he was passionate about music and he never shied away from new adventures. From his early life in Jamaica, to immigrating to Montreal where he spent many years, and finally settling in Kelowna, he lived a full life enriched by travel, deep friendships, and laughter.
His heart was always with Jamaica, the most beloved place on earth to him, and he made sure to visit every year to connect with his family and friends there.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his partner Diedre; his son Hasani; his granddaughter Noa; his sister Claire and his extended family and countless friends.
He can now rest and join his brothers Clifton and Kipling, and his sister Louise in their heavenly abode.
Eddy will be remembered as a devoted partner, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to so many. His legacy of love, laughter, and zest for life will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A viewing will be held on June 11 at the First Memorial Funeral Services Home, 1211 Sutherland Ave, Kelowna at 1:30pm until 2:30pm.
All who knew and loved Eddy are welcome to come to bid him farewell
