Services for Adam Minnick 96, will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 2 PM. Burial with Military Honors will follow at North Belton Cemetery. He passed away on May 31, 2021 in Belton, Texas. He was born on July 5, 1924 to Joseph and Mary Mathias Minnick ion Lakewood, Ohio. The family moved to Conneaut Ville, PA where he grew up and was educated. Mr. Minnick was drafted into the Army and made a career serving 28 Years and retired as a Command Sergeant Major. He served in World War II, the Korean conflict and two tours in Viet Nam. His award abd decorations are the Legion of Merritt with Cluster, the Bronze Star Medal with Cluster, Army Commendation Medal with Cluster, WWII Victory Medal Army of Occupations Germany, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge with two Stars. He was a lifetime member of the DAV, Retired Sargent Majors Association, VFW Post in Belton and a member of the Knights of Columbus at Christ the King Parish in Belton. Other employment include Civil Service as a manager of the West Ft hood Travel for 5 years and manager of Abrams Fitness Center at Ft hood for 8 years. Mr. Minnick was also a sports official for 18 years while in the service from 1955 to 1974. He officiated all sports at Fort Hood and the surrounding local areas. He was selected to officiate the Texas State Softball Tournament and 4th Army Tournaments in football, softball, volleyball and basketball. He was preceded by his parents, two brothers Joseph and William, one sister Anne, one daughter Patricia Chavers, grandson Darrell and great grandson Garren. Survivors are his wife Kreszenz, four sons Edward, Richard, Robert and Thomas, two daughters Linda Ingraham and Thea Lee. One adopted grandson Shawn, a brother John and a sister Theresa Johnson as well as 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

I will miss Uncle Ed dearly. He was a great man who would always made you feel welcome. The visits I made to his home were always a treat for this boy from Iowa. God bless!
