I remember the handwritten note Alice wrote to us ages ago after Jeff’s mother died. It was so graciously worded, sharing heartfelt and loving memories of the losses she had met in her life. Her caring and sharing in that note, that I kept, btw, helped us not only in the months that followed, but modeled to me how to offer condolences to others.
God bless your sweet family. May you continue to hold Alice’s grace and strength close to your grieving hearts, knowing that part of her will always be with you. Vicki Joy McClure

Grandma,
Thank you for all the great memories that we shared! You were always so gracious, poised, and kind. From home cooked meals to watching movies together in the living room. I am so thankful for the time we were able to spend together as a family. Spending Christmas together was always one of our favorites.

We will cherish these times and celebrate your life.

Love,

Mimi,

I love you so much. You will be missed dearly. I have such great memories spending time with you and our family at your house. You teaching us to play card games, the koi fish pond, swimming, movies and all the fun stories of our Grandfather, Father and Uncles adventures. Your passion and strength reside in us all! I am proud to be an Avera and Hodson.

My sweet beautiful MiMi, what an amazing legacy you have left. Thank you for being such a special Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. You were a wonderful example of what a strong classy woman should be. I always admired how you fought for what mattered, stood by your values, and promoted family first. I love and miss you so much. I know you are with God, Granddad, Uncle Ross, your parents & sisters, and all those who left this Earth before you. I know you are blissfully at peace and I am so happy for you. I am proud to be your Granddaughter, and will continue to work hard to live up to your example. I am a better person because of you, and the world is a better place because you were here. I love you!
