Services for Alouise Sassi will be 2:00pm Wednesday December 12, 2012 at St Joseph’s Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Killeen Memorial Park. She was born March 8, 1920 in Borst Yugoslavia and passed away December 5, 2012 at Fort Hood TX.
Mrs. Sassi was decorated by the United States and British Governments for her actions in helping downed pilots during World War II as a part of the resistance movement. She spoke seven languages fluently and was an interpreter for the United States Government.
She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Sassi.
She is survived by sons; Raffaele Sassi and Vincent Sassi, daughter; Sabina Paulson, granddaughters; Samantha and Amanda, grandsons; Anthony and Mark, and great granddaughters Ashlynn and Madyson.
She was an extraordinary woman, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 6-8pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen with a Rosary at 7pm.
