Anthony Bukowski

Anthony J. Bukowski was born on February 12, 1928 in Maiden Creek, PA to Anthony and Helen Bukowski. He passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in Round Rock, TX.

After his father died in 1938, the Bukowski family moved to Philadelphia in 1940.

Anthony played Sandlot Baseball over the Philly area from 1941-1945. In 1945 Anthony joined the US Marines. As a Marine, he served in both China and Guam. After a 1 year break from the Military, Anthony joined the US Army in 1948.

While stationed in Germany, he married Anna Einsiedier.

As a US Soldier, Anthony saw combat in Vietnam. He retired from the Army as a 1SG in 1971. Later he and Anna moved to Killeen, TX where he worked as a Security Guard. Anthony also earned his degree with honors from CTC in 1982.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Anna.

An Inurnment at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 1:00 PM with Military honors.
