

Anthony Ramos, a proud Veteran of the US Army passed away on January 10, 2025. He was a charismatic people leader with a talent for mechanics. He spent over twenty years as a Department of Defense contractor honorably protecting those overseas.
He was born and raised in New York City and from a young age displayed a proficiency in engineering. He would often be working on projects or taking apart electronics to determine how they work. After completing high school, he enlisted in the Army. He was an expert marksman and after he was medically retired he sought a career as a Department of Defense contractor. He worked security details for top officials. He was a C-RAM operator for much of his career successfully protecting military installations.
His generous and caring nature lead him to help those who needed it. He would often mentor others and served as a positive role model. He would selflessly offer his services to those who needed help. He would fix cars, electrical systems, repair homes and fabricate anything to assist. He took great pride in his work.
Anthony was very well liked, people would gravitate to him due to his charm. You would often find him socializing with friends. He enjoyed the outdoors and would often go camping. He had an expansive knowledge of all US history. Once of his favorite activities would be going to the gym. It would not matter if he was stateside or overseas he would always make the time to work out.
Anthony valued his family above all. He focused solely on supporting his wife and kids. He never wanted them to be without. He immersed himself in building a future for them. He taught his sons and daughters to be successful in life so they didn’t struggle as he did growing up. He said that his biggest accomplishment in life was his family.
He is survived by his dedicated wife Mandie Ramos, his children Sky Ramos, Austin Gruzenski, Samantha Gruzenski and Anthony Ramos Jr., as well as his siblings; Tanya Ramos and her husband Will, Stephanie Ramos and Willie Ramos, nieces and nephews; Jade, Alicia, Malick and Jovani. His mother Valerie Cassarino. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Georgina Jimenez and father William Ramos.
Anthony’s life should be remembered for his immense love of his family and compassion for others.

A Funeral Service at Crawford-Bowers Chapel-Killeen for Anthony will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 at 9:00 AM, followed by a burial Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
