

Aundrea Lamont Curry, known as “Dre,” was born on February 12, 1976, in Marianna, Arkansas. He was raised in West Memphis, Arkansas, where he built lifelong connections and memories. Dre peacefully passed away in Killeen, Texas, on March 29, 2026, surrounded by love.
Dre was the beloved son of Wanda Faye (Hall) Bailey and Floyd Lee Curry, and a cherished Son of Rev. Emanuel Bailey & Carolyn Curry. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Laquesha Curry, and a proud and loving father and grandfather whose family meant everything to him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters: Andrea Curry, Tamia Brisbon, Monteryca Ramey, Niya Lee, McKenzie Wilson, Arneshia Earvin, and Dyyneisha Gadison Thomas; and his sons: Danarius Brisbon, Armel Stephens, and Anthony Brown. He was also a proud grandfather to Kysen Guyton, Malia Clements, Madison Clements, Danarius Brisbon Jr., Niomi Riddle, Major Watkins, and Ma’Jesty Brisbon.
He also leaves to cherish his memory his godmother, Marie Stokes; his sisters: Ashley Malone, Shalanda Douglas, Charlotte Carter, Antoinette Dunn, LaShun Bailey, Janene Ford, and Gina Sims-Goodson; and his brothers: Floyd Hall, Carl Turner Jr., Christopher Bailey, and Matthew Howard. He is also lovingly remembered by his godbrothers, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Emmanuel Bailey II, Michael Sims, and Keith Brazzell; his grandparents, Elijah Hall, Dolly Jean Cooper, Elnora Curry, David Curry Sr., and Albert and Vanilla Bailey; and his nephew, Rodtreze “Mook” Bailey.
Dre attended West Memphis High School, where he was actively involved in athletics, participating in football, basketball, and track. He went on to coach at the semi-pro and arena levels and dedicated much of his time to coaching youth football. Dre found joy in mentoring young athletes, instilling discipline, confidence, and life lessons that extended far beyond the field.
Professionally, Dre earned his CDL and AC certification, establishing a strong career in the mechanic and maintenance industry. He was known for his work ethic, dependability, and unwavering commitment to providing for his family. No matter the challenge, Dre showed up with determination and pride.
Dre will always be remembered for his strength, resilience, and the love he poured into those around him. Even during his battle with cancer, he remained courageous and continued to fight with unwavering faith and perseverance. His journey came to a peaceful close on March 29, 2026, but his legacy of love, strength, and dedication will live on through all who knew him.
Dre’s presence, laughter, and spirit will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
