Avery Lauren Bradam was born in the early morning of January 4th, 2003, and passed away in her sleep in the early morning on March 29, 2025. She is survived by her loving family: her father James, mother Milena and brother Justin; Grandparents Lauren Pichichero, Michael Paxton, Sharon Paxton, Larry and Connie Bradam; Aunts and uncles: Mindy Paxton, Michelle & Steve Bozek and Stephanie & Courtney Beamon. Cousins: Paxton, Hunter, CJ and Corbyn as well as many extended family members.
Avery was one of the kindest, quick - witted, dry, but funny people you could meet. Her antics and silliness were sure to get a laugh. She was passionate about several things: Her family, Supergirl, music, baseball (Texas Rangers), softball, comics, Dungeons & Dragons, Critical Role, musicals and Disney - mostly Mary Poppins. She loved animals - especially her “fat sausage” cat Rebel; she loved funny TikTok videos (her laugh at these could be heard across the house); she enjoyed watching game shows such as, The Masked Singer, The Voice, Critical Role, Wynonna Earp, American Idol, and I love Lucy. Avery loved art, puzzles and games. She frequently won our Sunday family game nights - sometimes it amazed us when she knew some answers.
Avery knew growing up that she had challenges, but never let the challenges have her or interfere with doing the things she wanted to do. She worked hard to live the life she wanted to, regardless of restrictions. We have always been so proud of Avery’s strength and bravery. She rarely complained about the poking, prodding and testing. We always treated those rougher times as what made her amazing because they did. I hope she believed it too.
In school, Avery was an athlete and a musician. She was on the middle school volleyball, basketball, and swim team. She played travel and rec softball for the city for several years and was on her high school softball team her Freshman year. She played clarinet and bass clarinet in middle school and played the viola in the high school orchestra. She also participated in some after school clubs.
Avery was full of adventure. She loved to travel and especially loved to fly. She enjoyed trips to Disney World, Florida beaches, and Ohio to see her favorite.
After graduation, Avery attended a semester of college, then she worked at a couple of jobs. She found her way to volunteering at an elementary school library. She liked that time a lot. She was looking forward to feeling well enough to get a permanent job.
Avery was a true light and inspiration and was loved by so many - even people who have never met her or had only heard about her from her family. I hope that inspiration lives on as we continue to share her memory for years to come.
