Barbara A. Jurado

Mrs. Jurado died Nov. 14, 2012, in Copperas Cove. She was born Jan. 10, 1933, in Bamberg, Germany, to Friedrich and Margareta (Hubner) Weidner. She was raised, educated and worked Bamberg.

She married David Eugene Jurado in 1967 in Bamberg. Upon returning to the U.S., she accompanied her husband to various duty stations throughout his military career.

They had two sons, Bobby and Frank Jurado.

She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1977, her mother, her father, her older brother, Nicholas Weidner, who died in World War II; and her sister, Marga Hubner.

Survivors include her two sons, Frank and Bobby and his wife, Karla; her sisters, Adolfine Stocklein and her husband, Adolf, Barbara Mohrlein and her husband, Georg, Kunigunde Lihl and her husband, Josef; her brother-in-law, Erwin; her brother, Peter Weidner and his wife, Anna Weidner; and two grandchildren, Katlyn Jurado, 15, and David Jurado, 6.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
