At an early age, Miss Bea (as she was affectionately called by loved ones and friends) was baptized at Greater Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA and at present time was an active member of Soldiers of the Cross Cowboy Fellowship in Nolanville, TX.
Throughout her journey, Miss Bea touched countless lives through her passionate work and love for Christ as well as for others. This passion extended to several organizations throughout the country such as the Women’s Mission Union, Baptist Women, Mission Friends, Acteen, Mission Aciion, Lay Renewal, Experiencing GOD, Mission Service Corps, BGCT, Mary Hill Davis, Touch Point, Mission Development Council, Mission Involvement, GA, BW/BYW, Criminal Justice Task Force, Christian Service Corps, Baptist Friendship House, Bible Club and the Big A Club, where she held numerous positions of leadership and offered her volunteer services. She also served others as the owner of Miss Bea’s Daycare, manager at Happy Child Day Care, and assistant manager at Home and Hope Shelter. Though she may have been involved in several activities, she frequently enjoyed personal hobbies like reading, arts and crafts, cooking, and traveling. In all that she did, she wanted to be remembered for her service to the Lord, her faith, and her smile.
On Thursday, January 2, 2014, she said her final farewell and walked into the arms of the Lord. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Reginald Aaron Richardson and brother, James T. Howard, Jr.
