Betty Cosper Langford

Funeral services for Betty Cosper Langford, 79, of Killeen, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lifeway Fellowship with the Rev. Jimmy Towers officiating. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Youngsport.

Mrs. Langford died Oct. 2, 2014, in Killeen. She was born Aug. 20, 1935, in Bell County to Giles Buel “Putt” Cosper and Leona Kielman Cosper.

She lived all her life in the area where she and her husband, Dalton Langford, raised their family.

She was very active in her community and her church. She was very involved in the following organizations: Beta Sigma Phi, Central Texas Home Builders Association, Fort Hood Board of Realtors, AUSA, Killeen and Harker Heights Chambers of Commerce, Texas Land and Title Association, American Land and Title Association and Killeen Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

She was a founding member and trustee of Lifeway Fellowship and was selected as Realtor of the year.

Mrs. Langford was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Langford; her parents; a sister, Nellie Cosper Lethco and her husband, FM; a brother, Larry Cosper; and brothers-in-law, Tom Mann and Ernest Carroll.

Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Balderas and her husband, Dr. Ed Balderas, of Galveston; one son, Craig Langford and his wife, Karen Langford, of Killeen; four grandchildren, Christopher Doose of Austin, Nicole Trimble and her husband, Justin, of Sterling City, Craig Langford II of San Antonio and Randi Langford of Killeen; two great-grandchildren, Cara Wilson and Jace Trimble of Sterling City; two sisters, Joyce Carroll of Temple and Gloria Mann of Killeen; three brothers, Wayne Cosper and his wife, Arlene, Don Cosper and his wife, Linda, of Killeen and Phil Cosper and his wife, BJ; sister-in-law, Sheila Brewer and her husband, Joe; sister-in-law, Wanda Langford; Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Bill and Martha Langford; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Lifeway Fellowship. Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen is in charge of arrangements.
