
Billy was born to Felix and Ruth Ione (Allman) Vick, both Killeen natives, and lived here for his entire life.
He graduated from Killeen High school and attended Business College in Houston. He and his wife Joann had been married 47 years.
Billy retired from the Department of Defense after more than three decades of service. Billy’s hobbies included Amateur Radio Operation (HAM Radio). He was a major contributor to the first radio repeater built in Killeen.
Billy enjoyed computers, keeping up on current events and spending time with the family cats Lily, Maggie and Fresco.
Billy is survived by his wife Joann and his daughter Angie who is a resident of San Antonio.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer a donation be made in his honor to the Robert S. Love Foundation 1302 S. 21st St., Temple, TX 76504 or at www.lovecures.org. This is a local cancer research foundation that the family supports.
The Vick family will receive guest from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday October 7, 2011
at the family’s home.
