Brenda Kay Sheffield

Brenda Kay Sheffield, 69, was welcomed into Heaven on July 1, 2026, in Cedar Park, Texas. She brought endless joy and love to her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends throughout her life.

Born on November 22, 1956, in Cumberland, Maryland, Brenda was the daughter of Ellis and Opal Dolly. She was the oldest of four sisters and was crowned Oldtown Fire Hall Beauty Queen in 1974. Raised in the Methodist faith, Brenda loved Jesus Christ and lived a life rooted in faith and devotion to God.

Brenda was a devoted and proud Army wife. She spoke with great pride about her husband’s, son’s, and son-in-law’s military service and always made a point to thank anyone she saw in uniform for their service.

One of Brenda’s greatest joys later in life was caring for her grandchildren, who absolutely loved visiting “Grandma and Grandpa’s house.” She created a special playroom just for them, though their toys and laughter naturally spread throughout the rest of the house as well.

Brenda was known for her warm heart and friendly spirit, she truly never met a stranger. Her kindness and welcoming nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and her grandchildren have inherited that same gift. She consistently put others before herself and had a special way of bringing smiles, laughter, and comfort wherever she went.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Robert Sheffield; her children, Tiffany and Joseph; her beloved grandchildren, Shilo and Emery; her mother, Opal Dolly; her three sisters; and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ellis Dolly.

Brenda’s contagious laugh, sense of humor, unconditional love, kindness, and generosity will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

We love you, Grandma.
