Burdette William Beebe

In his senior year of high school, he met the love of his life, Barbara Ann Wyrich. They met at a model United Nations Conference. Bill represented his high school which was Union City High School and Barbara represented her school, Saint Gregory's High School. Bill and Barbara married in 1961. Shortly after being married, Bill entered the Armed Forces and remained married for 63 years until his passing.

Bill and Barbara moved together throughout his Army career; they lived overseas in Germany, Japan (Okinawa), Thailand and Turkey. In the United States, Bill was stationed at Fort Devens, Fort Bragg, Fort Meade, Fort Huachuca, and Fort Hood where he eventually retired in 1980.

From 1980 to 2010, Bill was employed at Central Texas College as a the Special Assistant to the Chancellor and then Director of Contracting. He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Baltimore. Later on in life, he earned his Master's Degree from Texas State University while he was employed at Central Texas College. Bill spent his life helping others in a variety of different ways as he was committed to serving. He served on the Board of Texas Partners Credit Union and Goodwill of Central Texas. Additionally, Bill was also a member of the KEC and President of the Exchange Club of Killeen. He served as a Board Member of Grace Christian Center until he retired from Central Texas College and moved to Marble Falls, Texas. In 2013, the Beebe family moved to Harker Heights, Texas where Bill was elected to the Central Texas College Board of Directors and remained on the Board until he was called home to be with the Lord. Bill served on the Board at Central Texas College for over 8 years with his last title being that of Treasurer of the Board.

Bill was a motorhome enthusiast and a member of Family Motor Coach Association Incorporation. He served as the National Treasurer in 2004. Bill and Barbara have traveled in a total of seven different motorhomes during their lifetime and traveled across the United States enjoying and valuing every minute they spent traveling together.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Burdette Keith Beebe and Barbara Ann Baldwin-Beebe, his daughter, Terri Ann Sisk, a granddaughter, Merisa Beebe and his sister, Patricia Bruegel.

Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Beebe; Son In Law, Jimmy Sisk, husband of his late daughter, Terry Ann Sisk; Daughter, Diania Maria Wendt; Son, Christopher Beebe and his wife, Kimberly Beebe; Grandsons, William Edward Wendt and James Beebe; Granddaughters, Cassandra Dubay and her husband, Eric Dubay, Hallie Beebe, Whitney Elizabeth Wendt and Emma Beebe; Great Grandsons, Trent Carpenter, Diesel Dubay and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Visitation for Burdette will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church. A Memorial Service will occur Friday, December 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM followed by a Committal Service with Full Military Honors will occur Friday, December 22, 2023 at 1:00 PM at The Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

While we mourn the loss of Bill Beebe, we also celebrate the vibrant, joyful, and full life that he led. We know that he is with his Lord and Savior along with the family members who have gone before him. He is enjoying his blessed rest and all that God has for him for now and evermore.
