

Camilla Edwards Garrison, 91, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 11, 2026, in the presence of her daughter, Deb, in Copperas Cove, Texas. Born on July 2, 1934, in Newton Grove, North Carolina, she lived a full life spanning her North Carolina roots to her final years in Texas, spending a major part of her life in Elmer, New Jersey and Hohenwald, Tennessee with her husband, Walt. Camilla served the citizens of Lewis County, Tennessee as the bookkeeper for the county Roads and Bridges Department for over 20 years. In retirement, she was happiest when she was with her grandchildren and when was helping people, a trait her Texas neighbors came to know so well. A Christian, she taught Sunday School for many years and relied on her faith to pull her through many challenging times.
Camilla was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Edwards; mother and stepfather, Allie and Harvey Lee; her brothers James, Paul, and Ellis; her sister Frances; and her husband, Walt. Surviving Camilla are her children, Ron (Missi) Baucom of Tullahoma, Tennessee, Deb (Joe) McNeill of Killeen, Texas, and Charlie (Kelly) Baucom of Rockwall, Texas; eight grandchildren, Michael, David, Christopher, Jason, Kyle, Jayne, Sarah, and Jenna; four great-grandchildren, Kinley, Kathryn, Caroline, and Juliet; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled for June 25, 2026, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 S Fort Hood St, Killeen, from 9:30 - 10:30. Committal Service will follow, 11:00, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen.
