Carl Dennis Beeg

Services for Carl Dennis Beeg, 63, of Killeen will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Burial will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Beeg died Thursday, Sept 16, 2010 in Iraq.

Carl Beeg was born July 30, 1947 in Jersey City, New Jersey to John Henry Beeg and Sybil Mae Jones Beeg. He served more than 24 years in the United States Army and retired December 31, 1989. While in the military he received numerous awards and recognitions including the Rifle M16 Sharpshooter Badge, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal w/9 Stars. Mr. Beeg had been employed with Mantech International as a civilian contractor in Iraq since 2007. He married Hyon Suk Kim June 17, 1985 in Gatesville, TX.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Walter Beeg and one sister, Joyce Burkle.

Survivors include his wife Hyon Suk Kim Beeg of Killeen, three daughters; Carol Sybil Davis and her husband Mark of Anna, TX, Doreen Susan Beeg of Arlington, TX and Christen Angela Beeg of Killeen, TX; four grandchildren; Nicole Lynn Davis, Kimberly Anne Davis, Ricky Giovanni Beeg and Mark Edward Davis, Jr.; two brothers, Franklin Beeg and Lawrence Beeg and three sisters, Geri Hoffman, Anne Beeg and Karen Pizzuto.

The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
