Carlos Uresti Sr.

Services for Carlos Uresti, Sr., 68 of Killeen will be 10am Monday June 24, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 12pm with full military honors.

Mr. Uresti died June 17, 2014 at his home in Killeen surrounded by his family. He was born Nov. 4, 1945 in Port Isabel, Texas to Guadalupe and Nicolasa Uresti. He retired from the Army in 1992 after serving 27 years. His tours of duty included Viet Nam and the Persian Gulf. Mr. Uresti was preceded in death by his father Guadalupe Uresti, brothers Joe Uresti,and Blas Garcia and his uncle Christial Martinez. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Uresti of 41 years, his daughter Melissa Roberts, his sons Carlos Uresti, Jr. and Christopher Uresti and his wife Jennifer, his mother Nicolasa Uresti, sister Alberta Cisneros, brothers Pablo Uresti and Lupe Uresti, grandchildren Tavonn Uresti, Christopher Uresti, Jr. and Aiden Uresti and his granddaughter Athena Uresti. Visitation will be 6p.m. to 8p.m. Monday June 23, 2014 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen
