Bob joined the military and was called into action during the Berlin Crisis. Bob continued to serve an additional 25 years in the Army Reserve and eventually retired as a Master Sergeant with 33 years total service.
Bob loved music and played the banjo, mandolin and harmonica. He also sang with the Singing 60's. He loved tennis, archery and woodworking. He loved to work with his hands and was a master cabinet maker. Bob was active in the Evant Masonic Lodge, was a reserve police officer for many years, and was a leader in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved camping and the outdoors, and was always helping with the local Boy Scout troop. Bob was a kind and patient man who never met a stranger. He was willing to help anyone in need, to a fault. Bob suffered consequences of Agent Orange, eventually having to endure major surgery and treatment for Cancer.
