Charles was born on September 11, 1941 in East Liverpool, Ohio.
He served 20 years in the US Army. He earned a National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 campaigns, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Meritorious Service Medal. He then went on to work 15 years at Central Texas College in Computer Operations.
Charles was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 3892, Harker Heights, DAV-29, Harker Heights, and a member of the American Legion Post 573, Harker Heights. He served as District Commander, Commander and was Quartermaster of 15 years.
His favorite hobby was bingo and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Charles is survived by his wife of 32 years, Pamela S. Duncan; three daughters; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.
